more »Jeremy Rifkin serves as an advisor to the European Union on issues related to the economy, climate change, energy security, and sustainable development. He is currently advising the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Janez Janša, during his presidency of the European Union (January to July 2008). Mr. Rifkin recently advised the president of the European Union, Prime Minister Jose Socrates of Portugal (July to December 2007). Mr. Rifkin is also serving as the principal senior advisor to the leadership group of the European Parliament on the European Union Hydrogen Economy Initiative. Mr. Rifkin also serves as an informal advisor the European Commission, the governing body of the European Union.
Teacher
Jeremy Rifkin has been a fellow at the Wharton School's Executive Education Program, at the University of Pennsylvania, since 1994. He lectures to CEOs and senior corporate management from around the world on global trends in science, technology, and commerce, and their impacts on the economy, society and the environment. Mr. Rifkin is also a senior fellow at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, where he lectures in the Executive Education and MBA programs. more »
