SKURESCET (M.Phil. & Ph.D.)
Admission Notification – 2010
Applications in the prescribed form are invited for admission to M.Phil. (Full-Time)
and Ph.D. (Full-time/Part-time) offered by S.K.University at S.K.University College,
Anantapur and in recognized affiliated colleges.
Candidates who have passed the Master’s Degree of S.K. University or any other
recognized University in the discipline concerned securing not less than 55% of marks (50%
in the case of SC/ST candidates and Teachers who are in the UGC scales of pay etc., are
exempted from possessing 55% of marks in the qualifying P.G. Examinations) are eligible to
apply and take the Entrance Test.
Note: Final year (IV Semester) Students of P.G. Courses are eligible to apply and to
appear SKURESCET-2010.
Details of categories of candidates who can apply under the Part-time category and
details of categories of candidates exempted from the Entrance Test are available in the
SKURESCET Prospectus – 2010.
The application form and other details can be obtained by post on requisition from
the Director, Directorate of Admissions, on submission of (1) a crossed demand draft for
Rs.350/- in favour of the Director, Directorate of Admissions, S.K. University, payable at
Andhra Bank, S.K.University Branch, Anantapur, (2) a self-addressed envelope of size 30 X 20
cms bearing stamps worth Rs.40/- for speed post. The application form and prospectus can
also be obtained in person from Andhra Bank, S.K.University Branch, Anantapur/Andhra
Bank Budhwarpet Branch, Kurnool on payment of Rs.350/-+Rs.10/-(bank handling charges).
Separate applications should be submitted for M.Phil (white form) & Ph.D. (light green form)
in each subject.
M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree is offered in the following subjects
(a) English, Telugu
(b) Adult Education, Economics, History, Library and Information Science, Political Science,
Public Administration, Rurl Development, Social Work and Sociology.
(c) (i) Business Management (PhD only) (ii) Commerce
(d) Chemistry, Computer Science & Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mathematics,
Physics, Polymer Science & Technology, Statistics and Physical Education.
(e) Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Geography, Microbiology, Sericulture, Zoology.
(f) Law (PhD only)
(g) Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (M.Phil., full time Course
only).

Director, Directorate of Admissions, S.K. University, Anantapur.
