MUNI THE BOSS

0.1 The third ODI of the tri-series will see India taking on the hosts Sri Lanka in an important contest for the former. New Zealand have 1 win, Sri Lanka also have 1 and it's time even India manage one, before it is too late for them to qualify for the finals. Sri Lanka should be on a high after being able to chase down a target of 193 under lights at Dambulla and pulling off a comfortable win against the Kiwis. It was a clinical bowling performance by the Lankans, led by Malinga of course, along with Mathews and Herath. Their batting looks pretty strong too and specially against their familiar foes, India, they will definitely look to keep up the good work and edge out their all-time regular opposition in this vital clash. India had a horrible day against New Zealand in the first ODI. It was really hard to believe that a team boasting names like Sehwag, Yuvraj, Dhoni and Raina were bundled out for a score as low as 88. No matter that, they will be quite eager to overcome that huge loss and keep themselves alive in the tournament with a win against their favourite opponent. In the bowling department, India have a few injury concerns and Munaf Patel has been called in as cover but don't see him featuring in the game with Ishant Sharma ready to make a comeback. Both Sri Lanka and India, know in and out of one another as it is pretty rare that they don't meeteach other on the cricketing field. Expect India to come out fighting after that big loss and SriLanka should be at their best, playing at home. We have a cracking contest on our hands!

21.4 P Ojha to T Dilshan, OUT! BIG BLOW FOR THE LANKANS! Full floated delivery landed on off, bowled at 81.4 kph, Dilshan tries to swat it over mid wicket but manages only a top edge. The ball goes high in the air and Rohit Sharma settles underneath that one to complete the catch at mid-wicket. Sri Lanka have lost their fifth wicket.

3.3 A Nehra to K Sangakkara, OUT! CAUGHT IN THE DEEP! Short of length delivery pitched on off, climbing on to the batsman, bowled at 131.9 kph, Sangakkara fetches it from outside off and tries to pull that but gets a top edge. The ball goes high up in the air and Ojha settles under that one at the deep square leg to take a calm catch. Sri Lanka have lost their second wicket. Massive wicket for the Indians!

6.2 P Kumar to M Jayawardene, OUT! GONE! LBW! BIG WICKET! Full length delivery pitches on off and nips back sharply into the batsman, bowled at 129.6 kph, Jayawardene failed to make contact and was hit on the pads. The fielding side is asking the question and umpire Rauf after thinking for a while declares Jayawardene OUT. Sri Lanka have lost their third wicket. TV replays suggested that it was clipping the leg stump. Good decision by the umpire!

12.4 I Sharma to T Samaraweera, OUT! SOFT DISMISSAL! Full length delivery on middle, bowled at 136.6 kph, Samaraweera has flicked that ball uppishly towards short mid-wicket and straight into the hands of Jadeja, who makes no mistake. Sri Lanka have lost their fourth wicket.

22.4 R Jadeja to A Mathews, OUT! PLUMB LBW! Full length delivery landed on off, a bit quicker in the air bowled at 90.2 kph, the ball strikes Mathews on the pads. The fielding side are asking the question and umpire Rauf raises his finger. Sri Lanka have lost their sixth wicket.

31.3 R Jadeja to C Kapugedara, OUT! BOWLED'EM! Full length delivery on middle, bowled at 90.0 kph, Kapugedara comes down the track and yorked himself. He fails to make any contact with it and the ball goes on to hit the leg stump. What was he trying to do, only he knows! Sri Lanka have lost their seventh wicket.

46.1 P Ojha to S Randiv, ALL OUT! Full length deivery landed outside off, Randiv tried to chip it over covers but failed to time it perfectly and Raina holds on to the chance. Sri Lanka have been bowled out.

39.6 I Sharma to N Kulasekara, OUT! Full length delivery pitched outside off, bowled at 132.4 kph, Kulasekara pushes at that one with no foot movement and has nicked that one to Dhoni. Dhoni takes a straight forward catch. Sri Lanka have lost their eighth wicket.

43.1 P Ojha to L Malinga, OUT! STUMPED! Flighted delivery pitched on leg, bowled at 85.2 kph, Malinga walks out to the pitch of the delivery and looked to push it through the off side but misses. That is an easy stumping for Dhoni. Sri Lanka have lost their ninth wicket.
