South Scope Cine Awards

The first media briefing for The South Scope Cine Awards 2010, organised by 'South Scope' magazine was held recently. Awards will be given to the best of films in all the four south Indian languages.

Actresses Kushboo, Samantha and Piya were the guests of the event and they announced the nominations for Tamil films. Naadodigal, Pasanga, Kanchivaram and Naan Kadavul are major contenders.

Awards will be presented in 11 categories, including best actor, actress, film, director, music director, supporting actor, singer, comedian, lyricist and cinematographer, apart from the best debut and lifetime achievement.

The award ceremony will be held on September 19 at Hyderabad. Leading stars from the South Indian film industry will be participating in the event, to be hosted by Shriya and Shaam.
