New Delhi, Oct 22: After the Supreme Court pronounced that live-in partners are not liable to pay alimony after separations, senior government lawyer on Oct 22 raised voice against the SC over its usage of the word, "Keep."
Buzz up!
An angry Additional Solicitor General, Indira Jaising expressed her disgrace and stated that the word used in the judgment was highly objectionable and needed to be expunged.
Jaising questioned, "How can the Supreme Court of India use the word kept in the 21st century against a woman. Can a woman say that she has kept a man?"
"I would like to move an application to get the remarks expunged. I do not want to appear before this court, I would like to withdraw myself," she added.
The Supreme Court on Oct 21 proclaimed, "If a man has a 'keep' whom he maintains financially, and uses mainly for sexual purpose and as a servant, it would not be a relationship in the nature of marriage."

I don't know what is the issue here. Live-in relationship is the same as keeping 'keeps' or Rakhails.

Whether it is 21st century or 25th century the relation of man and women will remain same. This is god gifted and they need each other. In India marriage is an essantial for physical relation of men and women. Without formal marriage physical relations are called keep or one night relations, which fact should be acceptable to all.
