Where is Obama in Asia today?November 6, 2010 -- Updated 0236 GMT (1036 HKT)

(CNN) -- U.S. President Barack Obama's ten-day trip to India, Indonesia, South Korea and Japan includes a G-20 summit, an Asia-Pacific Economic Council summit, and bilateral talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao and at least five other leaders.

"If you look at the trend lines in the 21st century, the rise of Asia, the rise of individual countries within Asia, is one of the defining stories of our time," Ben Rhodes, the deputy national security adviser for strategic communications, said last week.

"We see core U.S. national interests that will be advanced by us playing a key role in helping to shape the future of the region and making clear that we're an Asian and a Pacific power," he added.

Oh and lets not forget, this is the same USA who armed Pakistan against India, asked favours from China to help Pakistan against India in the war of 71. Also.. for the record
Ex-US President Richard Nixon called Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi an "old witch", according to recently released documents from the 1970s.
His national security adviser, Henry Kissinger, said "the Indians are bastards anyway" in the run-up to the India-Pakistan war of 1971.

The incorrect map of India showing J & K separate, although it is an integral part of India has the potential to create a diplomatic row between India and the US. I appeal to CNN to either publish the correct map or withdraw the map completely. It is hurting Indian sentiments when Obama is coming here to India asking Indian businesses to help create jobs in the States. less

JorgeCNN07 On this Barack Obama*s Asian visit, I think that all visits to the continent will be positive
in all aspects. Obama is not only U.S. President, is a Chairman of the world.
Surely for him the most symbolic place will be Indonesia, where he lived some years.

MadrasMaama The map of India is totally incorrect.Keep in mind that the Pres. Obama is requesting India's help to preserve American jobs, and not the other way around. The contours of the map must reflect that ask-grant relationship.

GarudDhwaja @goingby20s is that so, the Kashmir is disputed so it is displayed as such. In that case why isn't Tibet displayed separately? Apply your flawed self-righteous attitude elsewhere. Your arrogance and ignorance know no bound.

goingby20s Kashmir is under territorial dispute! CNN made many geographical mistakes on it's past, but this is not one of them.
