TTD to implement single window package by 2011

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams' Specified Authority Committee' has resolved to introduce single window system for the benefit of its pilgrims by the next year.
The three-member committee, the highest decision-making official body of the world famous Venkateswara Swamy Temple in its meeting yesterday, decided to introduce the seva called Sri Seva Project (SSP) for the pilgrims all across the country and abroad visiting Tirumala and Tirupati temples.
While informing the resolutions passed in the meeting lasted more than five hours, Authority Chairman J Satyanarayana said the package system would be designed in the next two months and called for the biddings of service provider. The entire system would be owned and paid by the TTD only.
Under the project, the TTD would provide different packages consisting of accommodation, darshan, touring and offer packages, including Premier package to the pilgrims depend on their strength at single window counters to be opened at Tirumala, Tirupati and other cities next year between February and March, Mr Satyanarayana said.
The main aim of the 'Sri Seva Project' is to provide all presently available sevas at one counter in different packages to the pilgrims, he said and added the counters will be integrated with the existing e-darshan counters available across the country.
The existing Internet facility is to be continued as usual and there will be no change even after the introduction of new system, he clarified.
TTD Executive Officer I Y R Krishna Rao, also a Specified Authority Committee member, and Nagireddy were also present during the meeting.
